🚀 Getting Started

Welcome to TownyAge!

There's a lot to explore, but you don't need to understand every system before you start playing.

This page will help point you toward some of the things you can do first.

🌎 Explore the Server​

Before settling down, take some time to look around.

TownyAge has multiple worlds with different purposes, and you can use the server's world and teleportation systems to begin exploring.

Check out Worlds & Exploration before choosing a permanent place to build.

💼 Pick Some Jobs​

Jobs are one of the primary ways to earn money while doing normal Minecraft activities.

You can join up to 3 jobs by default, so choose activities that match how you like to play.

Mining, building, farming, fishing, crafting, fighting mobs, and many other activities can earn you money depending on your Jobs.

Use:

/jobs

to get started.

⚔️ Start Leveling mcMMO​

You don't need to join or activate anything to begin using mcMMO.

Simply playing the game will begin leveling the skills associated with what you're doing.

Mining levels Mining. Fishing levels Fishing. Farming levels Herbalism. Fighting with different weapons levels their respective combat skills.

Use:

/mcstats

to see your progress.

🏘️ Find a Town — or Make Your Own​

Towns provide protected land and give players a place to build together.

You can join an existing town or save up $2,500 to create one of your own.

If you're new to Towny, joining an established town can be an easy way to learn the system before managing one yourself.

📈 Work Toward Your First Rank​

TownyAge has 15 progression ranks that unlock additional perks as you play.

Your first rank is Apprentice, which requires:

  • 2 Hours of playtime
  • 500 blocks placed
  • 2,000 blocks broken
  • $5,000

Higher ranks add additional requirements and unlock increasingly useful rewards.

🎁 Daily Rewards & Voting​

There are a few easy ways to pick up extra rewards while you play.

📅 Daily Rewards​

Don't forget to claim your daily reward!

Use:

/daily

to collect your reward once per day.

🗳️ Voting​

Voting for TownyAge is another great way to earn money, experience, and other rewards.

Votes also count toward Rank Up progression, so voting regularly will help as you work toward higher ranks.

You'll earn Lockpicks from voting. Each Lockpick gives you a random Crate Key, which can be used at the Crates in Spawn.

Every Vote​

Each vote earns:

  • 💰 $750
  • ✨ 300 EXP
  • 🔑 1 Lockpick — gives a random Crate Key

First Vote Bonus​

The first time you vote, you'll also receive:

  • 💰 $1,200
  • ✨ 600 EXP
  • 🔑 3 Lockpicks
  • 🎰 3 Slot Machine Coins

Daily Voting Bonuses​

Vote on 5 sites in one day to receive:

  • 💰 $2,500
  • 🔑 1 Lockpick

Vote on all 6 sites in one day to receive:

  • 💰 $2,500

💡 Having trouble with TopG? It can sometimes be a little funky and may require you to resubmit your vote a few times. The 5-site reward means you can still earn a daily bonus if you decide to give up on it.

Vote Milestones​

Your votes also earn additional milestone rewards:

Keep voting and those bonuses will continue to add up!

💰 Save Your Money​

Once you start building up some money and experience, consider storing it in the Bank.

Deposited money and experience can earn interest while you're online, and the Bank also provides additional item storage.

💡 Where Do I Go From Here?​

Wherever you want.

Build a base. Join a town. Start your own town. Level your Jobs. Grind mcMMO. Work toward your next rank. Make money. Spend all of it at the Casino.

You don't need to complete the server in a particular order.

Pick something that sounds fun and go from there.
