📜 Server Rules

TownyAge is meant to be a fun, welcoming place to play and hang out.

These rules apply across the TownyAge Minecraft server and community spaces. Use common sense, respect other players, and don't intentionally look for loopholes around the rules.

🤝 Respect Other Players

Harassment, hate speech, discrimination, threats, slurs, or targeted toxic behavior are not allowed.

Respect other players regardless of their race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, background, or identity.

Disagreements happen. Personal attacks and harassment don't need to.

💬 Keep Chat Reasonable

Swearing and casual adult conversation are allowed, but keep the people around you in mind.

The following are not allowed:

  • Hate speech or discriminatory content
  • Graphic or non-consensual sexual content
  • Hostile or deliberately inflammatory political or religious discussions
  • Extreme spam or disruptive behavior
  • Excessive pinging, caps spam, emoji spam, or microphone spam

Different Discord channels may have different purposes. Keep conversations reasonably appropriate for the channel you're using.

📢 Advertising & Links

Do not advertise third-party servers, communities, services, or content in public channels without permission.

Do not DM other community members unsolicited advertisements or invite links.

Suspicious and shortened links are also not allowed.

If you're unsure whether a link or promotion is okay to share, ask staff first.

🎮 Play Fair

Hacking, cheating, exploits, or other forms of game abuse are not allowed.

This includes:

  • Using hacked or modified clients to gain an unfair advantage
  • Intentionally exploiting bugs or unintended mechanics
  • Bypassing Towny protections
  • Creating builds intended to negatively impact server stability
  • Attempting to bypass server restrictions or protections

If you discover an exploit, report it to staff rather than using it.

💤 Don't Bypass the AFK System

Builds designed specifically to bypass the server's AFK detection are not allowed.

For example, a mob grinder that continuously pushes or moves your player in order to prevent the AFK system from detecting you is not allowed.

AFK farms themselves are not necessarily the problem — intentionally defeating the AFK system is.

🛡️ Follow Staff Instructions

If a staff member asks you to stop doing something or gives you instructions related to moderation, please follow them.

If you disagree with a moderation decision, don't turn the situation into a public argument. Open a support ticket so the issue can be discussed properly.

📋 Discord Rules

While participating in the TownyAge Discord, you must also follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

❓ Not Sure?

If you're unsure whether something is allowed, ask before doing it.

You can ask general questions in #game-help, or create a private ticket in #tickets if you need help directly from staff.
